It was in june that a new journey of my life began. i just got selected in so-called "one of the prestigious institutes of india ...IIT..." after all my 2 years of toil...the results paid off.. They gave me a seat it IIT-Guwahati, computer science nd engg. So all set for the new life, i came here with high hopes of reaching skies and achieving milestones...
I reached the campus, astounded by the beauty here...the campus is 800 acres all surrounded by mountains and the mighty Brahmaputra, not to mention of the beautiful lakes and great infrastructure. So got a feel of IIT. They say first day in college is a very bad day. But it turned out to be a not so bad day, ... In the process of registration i met p.p (a.k.a sourabh prajapati) who in course of time became one of my best friends. So it was over, the whole complicated process of registration.
The classes were to begin some 2-3 days later, so had lot of time... It was in computer centre where i met another of my buddies Arun and Sahil (chalana) ... and then the following night it began...the so called sessions....it was with Sahil and PP that i had my sessions.... earlier as all are i was also afraid...but then it became a routine....and it eventually became fun...not to mention i used to laugh in between sessions. Never laugh in front of seniors, it might lead you to disastrous aftermaths...which might be hours long..which was in my case... But soon these things passed...
The classes started,...and with all enthusiasm and vigour...went to almost all the classes... Here in IIT you can never learn time management easily. The earlier you learn the better it is. There are so many things to do...i.e. play a game, join any of the clubs as literary club, astro club, EDC , robotics club...then
Then i met Niketh aka alien , also of cse ....a champ. No words for him. He knew so many things in computers field...so many languages...
Then through Sahil i met prateek gupta and shailesh dangwal aka bigdaddy ...who also eventually became my friends. Although initailly, it was not that good with prateek...due to his war of words. But eventually i realised that he was very good person, although it might not seem to every person, initially.
Then there was Techniche, the annual techno-management festival, where the facchas are supposed to do all the infrastructure work. I too did it on my part, but much less...
